Here are some of our favourite games that we play at Hope Kids. Below is how you play them and what you will need.
What do you need?
✓ An old newspaper
✓ Sellotape
Preparation
Scrunch up each page of the newspaper into a snowball and place a piece of sellotape on each one to hold them together.
How to play
Have two teams of equal people. Divide a room up into 2 halves, the teams will have half the room each. Set a time limit of 1 or 2 minutes for the game. When the time starts throw all of snowballs into the middle of the room. Each team needs to throw the snowballs the other team’s side until time is up.
How to win
Whichever team has the fewest snowballs in their half after the time limit wins.
What do you need?
✓ String
✓ A bag of ring donuts or jam donuts for a messy version of this game.
Preparation
Tie a piece of string through each ring donut, enough for one per player. Then tie these pieces of string to a long piece of string. Get two people to hold the long string up so the donuts are hanging down.
How to play
Each player stands under a donut. Set a time limit for the game. When the time starts everyone has to eat their donut without using their hands. This ends up being really funny.
How to win
Either the person who finishes their donut first, or the person who has eaten the most when time is up wins.
